A Little About Me...

I am currently in my senior year at ASU.  I am majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies.  My two concentration areas are Business and Family Studies.  I have been at ASU now for a total of 7 years.  It has taken me a while to complete my degree courses because I have had to work full-time and can only go to school part-time.  Even though I have been in school for a while now, I believe it just shows that I am a determined person.  I have not given up on my dream of obtaining my Bachelor's Degree.  I hope to graduate in the Spring of 2008.  I hope you enjoy my online portfolio and learn more about me.

What is BIS?

The BIS program at Arizona State University allows you to choose two or more disciplines or fields of study, and integrate them.  The BIS program finds it's home within the new School of Letters and Sciences at ASU. 

Why BIS?

I chose the BIS program at ASU, because I felt it really met my needs.  I had changed my major several times and could not decide on what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.  I then found out about the BIS program through an advisor at the university.  I really liked that I could integrate two or more fields of study and make one major out of them.  I knew this was what I was looking for in a degree.  It allowed me freedom.
